Hello Again, World
A few years ago, I ran a blog on this very domain. I built it myself, from scratch, with Django, and then wrote a whole tutorial series about building it. Eventually life moved on, the server went quiet, and the domain lapsed.
I recently got gunduzhuseyn.com back, and with it, the itch to write again.
This time the setup is deliberately boring: posts are Markdown files in a git repository, the site is statically generated, and deployment happens automatically on every push. No database, no server to patch, nothing standing between an idea and a published post. This time, I used ai (claude code specifically) to help me set it up, and got my blog built/deployed within minutes. I might do a short tutorial on the stack/deployment, we ll see.
Expect posts about software engineering; systems, cloud, security, but also the occasional detour into literature, music, and travel. Some of my old writing may resurface here too, with a few years of hindsight attached. I will try to avoid using ai while writing the actual blog content, as much as I can. I want this corner to be my own window into collectively shouting into an abyss that is devouring online content to generate shareholder value for a few companies :d.
See you in the next post.
P.S. Here is sth i was listening to while doing all this:
